It is officially Fall and one of our favorite ingredients to work with this time of year is apples. You're not going to see this many kinds of apples in the grocery store, but there are 7,500 varieties of apples in existence throughout the world—2,500 of which are grown in the United States. In this class kids will learn how to whip up a light and fluffy skillet cake with your favorite apple varieties and warming fall spices and a brown butter crumble. While our cake bakes will make a cinnamon drizzle for garnish. For this class, you will need: flour, baking powder, apples, unsalted butter, granulated sugar, salt, egg, vanilla, milk (dairy or non-dairy), sour cream (or yogurt or buttermilk), oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and powdered sugar.
